It was a hot bright sunny day
So I hopped in to my truck.
I am headed out to the raceway
It was just me and lady luck.
Today's the day we do some draggin
We're lining up at the starting pole.

Who'll be the first out of the hole.
I put my foot down put it in gear
All you could see was dirt in the rear.
A cloud of dust the motor a hummin
The finish lines got to see me comin.
We're draggin in the dirt today
The winners takin home the crown.
